The Culling Steam Store Page Forgets One Key Detail, Results In Poor Reviews

The Culling has recently entered Early Access, but there’s one major issue the store page fails to make clear.

It’s core core concept is simple enough. Players are set loose on a island and tasked with killing everyone in sight. Crafting traps, spears and bows makes up a large part of the game. Given the game has a heavy focus on melee combat, any delay between attacks will be problem. This is where things get a bit messy.

At this present time, The Culling is only running North American severs. This leaves players outside of North America at a huge disadvantage. Delays between attacks and general lag has been reported from numerous players both via social media and on Steam.

In late February, the closed Alpha welcomed in a number of players. Much like the Early Access release, the Alpha also ran excursively on North American severs. This isn’t exactly a problem, but the fact this fact is not stated on the store page is.

Users are dropping £9.99 (after the promo ends on March 11th the price will rise to £10.99) only to find their territory is severely hampered by lack of sever support. It’s assumed that severs for other territories will be added in the future. For now, make sure you’re happy to play with lagg before paying up.
