Quake Inspired Paranautical Activity Hits Wii U April 14th
Paranautical Activity is releasing April 14th on the Wii U. The rogue-like FPS, heavily inspired by 90s shooters, feels like something we don’t normally see on the Wii U system. Levels are randomly generated and contain over 40 types of enemies, along with some ‘ridiculous bosses’.
Much like its inspiration Quake, Paranautical Activity plays at breakneck speed, encouraging the player to play aggressively and reactively. The pixel art style, combined with some solid lighting, gives the whole game a distinct look to it. The Dubstep soundtrack might not be to everyone’s taste, but the gameplay looks solid. All of this for £9.99 seems like a fair price.
