Overwatch Rip Off Is Hilariously Shameless

Overwatch Rip Off Is Hilariously Shameless

The term ‘rip off’ is often thrown around these days. When video games share similar traits, you’ll be damn sure to find someone calling one of them a rip off. Video games tend to follow trends that have resulted in high sales and success, it’s just how it is. Rip off is a strong term often misused, at least in some cases.

Overwatch is shaping up to be the next big release on the market. Blizzard’s Hero shooter is currently powering through on a hype train, it even has its own rip off. Chinese game ‘League of Titans’ is one edit away from a complete steal. All of the Heroes are there, just with new names and a few nicks and tucks in places.

Apparently releasing on mobile platforms, League of Titans is just one of many Chinese rip offs of Western games. They’re normally a little more subtle than this, which is even seems to copy Overwatch’s level design.

There’s only a few images around at the moment, but anyone who has played Overwatch will recognise all of League of Titan’s heroes. Roadhog, Reinhardt, Reaper, Tracer and Solider: 76 are just some of the heroes given the Chinese rip-off treatment.

League of Titan’s even has the balls to fully rip off Overwatch’s HUD and weapon designs. Chinese rip off, especially the consoles, have long been the punch line of many jokes. This is just another giggly in long line of shameless rip offs.

Well, unless the game is coming to the United States or any Blizzard patented jurisdiction. Blizzard cannot do anything about it.
