Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore Is Officially Cancelled

Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore has been officially cancelled. The indie RPG was killed off during the early hours of December 21st with a long post on the game’s official site. The post thanks people for their support and highlights how satisfying it was to see a community grow in front of their very eyes.

The reasons for the cancellation are stated within the post. It seems a lack of funds is the key reason behind the games cancellation with crowd funding proving not to be a truly viable option. The initial goal of $50,000 was said not to be enough, and would only result in the game being cancelled and backers being left out of pocket. All pledges previously made will be fully refunded. The full post can be found here.

Pixel Gate wishes the team behind Death Fire all the luck with their future works.
